Progress Post #1 - June 28, 20196/28/2019 Time for my summer project! I want to go off of my ideas of women confronting their identity as women and link that to the previous work I have done regarding makeup wipes and notions of fragility. Therefore, I have been thinking of painting a mirror with azaleas (which is a flower I used in a previous project). I also want to paint on my face and take a mirror selfie with the azalea mirror because I think it would be a good commentary on body image and the use of social media for validation and shaming.

Progress Post #37 - June 14th, 20196/14/2019 I did it. I finished it. I stayed up until 5 AM to make a basket. I was really riffing off of associations of femininity with basket weaving and weaving in general. I really wanted to make an actual space because I was exploring spaces in my original piece. I think the two look nice together. Progress Post #36 - June 7th, 20196/7/2019 I finished my painting! The drawings are kind of a hot mess, or, should I say, one drawing. I am going to color it because it looks like trash otherwise. I am going to recreate the green colors. This may be a grave mistake. I am currently experimenting and taking suggestions for what I should do with this drawing because it would be very boring if it was just a drawing.
