Progress #1: September 21, 20179/21/2017 Today, I researched and narrowed down my choices for my Old Master's project. I am focusing on Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec works because his mark making and messy, loose style appeals to my aesthetic, and I would love to learn how to emulate his artistic genius. I am currently debating between "To Menilmontant from Bruant" and "Yvette Guilbert - Chanson Ancienne" both created in 1898. I used "To Menimontant from Bruant" to test different materials and papers. I am in love with using graphite and white charcoal on tinted paper, and I am definitely considering doing my project with these materials.
