Progress Post #22 - February 15th, 20192/15/2019 This week, I started painting, and it was an experience. Turns out that unprimed canvas sucks in a lot of paint and it is very hard to get a nice layer going. Also, it's hard to be expressive when my paint runs out every two seconds. I think the skin shading is going nice. I like the color palette I chose, and I think this is going to be a fun project. I definitely made her too small for the unprimed canvas that I cut out, so I am going to need to sew a little bit of it to be smaller. I am not sure what to do for the background yet, so there is that. I also messed up a little and painted in the parts that I was not supposed to paint in. I am debating on whether to outline those areas with blue or fill them in with white. Neither really contribute to my message, but the mistakes look bad. I also am not prepared to paint the face. That is going to be an adventure. I have come up with an idea for a home project. I just need to execute it. I actually have multiple ideas and all of them involve embroidery. I am thinking of embroidering flowers on acne wipes that I use. I also might sew all of my used makeup wipes together with embroidered makeup looks on them in order to make a hood. I think that would be a cool video concept.
